CL Brakes Brake Pads
- Brakes of MotoGP World Champions
- Also used for TGV trains, wind turbines, and helicopters
- Made in France since 1996
CL Brakes brake pads are sintered. This means that each pad contains at least ten components (bronze, ceramic, graphite, etc.). These components form friction compounds that are heated in a furnace at 900 °C. Unlike organic pads, where the individual particles are bonded with adhesive, sintered pads—fused at high temperatures—offer longer lifespan, higher performance, and lower tendency to fade.
The S4 compound is designed for both front and rear brakes, especially on lightweight motorcycles. Its strength lies at speeds around 100 km/h. So if you mainly ride on country roads, this compound provides better braking performance than many more expensive or even racing pads, and up to twice the performance of organic pads. Even at higher speeds, the S4 compound still outperforms organic brake pads.
