IRIDIUM POWER
IRIDIUM POWER spark plugs are engineered to enhance acceleration, torque, and fuel efficiency through stable and highly efficient ignitability. Featuring a 0.4 mm ultra-fine iridium centre electrode and a specially designed ground electrode, they deliver outstanding spark performance and reliable engine response under a wide range of operating conditions.
Structure & Technology
- 0.4 mm Ultra-fine Iridium Centre Electrode
Developed using DENSO’s advanced iridium alloy with an انتہائی high melting point, the ultra-fine electrode reduces required ignition voltage and significantly improves ignitability. - Taper-cut Ground Electrode
The tapered design minimizes quenching effects and allows the air-fuel mixture to spread more evenly, ensuring stable and efficient combustion. - U-Groove Ground Electrode
DENSO’s unique U-groove design increases flame kernel size while maintaining low voltage requirements, improving ignition performance without enlarging the spark gap. - Projected Centre Electrode
A protruding centre electrode enhances ignition efficiency, improving throttle response and overall engine performance (selected types only). - 360° Laser Welding
The iridium tip is mounted using a highly reliable all-around laser welding process for durability under all driving conditions. - Highly Reliable Built-in Resistor
A 5,000-ohm monolithic resistor reduces electromagnetic interference with onboard electronics. - Nickel Plated Housing
Burnished nickel plating provides excellent resistance to corrosion and rust, even in harsh environments such as rain or off-road use. - Optimized Insulator Projection
Designed according to thermal range requirements to ensure optimal self-cleaning and heat resistance. - Removable Terminal Nut
Compatible with most ignition cable types; removable where required (except selected models).
Performance Advantages
Improved Ignitability
The combination of ultra-fine electrodes and U-groove technology allows strong spark generation at lower voltage, ensuring consistent ignition even under demanding conditions.
Enhanced Engine Power
Improved combustion efficiency reduces misfires and maximizes engine output, delivering measurable gains in horsepower and torque.
Faster Acceleration
High-response ignition improves throttle reaction and acceleration performance, especially under load.
Lower Voltage Requirement
The fine electrode design concentrates the electric field, enabling ignition with reduced voltage demand.
Better Fuel Efficiency
Improved combustion stability reduces fuel consumption. Tests show up to approximately 5% improvement under controlled conditions.
